Additionally, so well crafted are the voices and timbers that unlike many violin and viola duos which make the listener all too aware that only two instruments are playing, the 12 Duette often sound like a much larger ensemble.

This edition by MP2 Music was prepared by the Miller-Porfiris Duo in advance of their 2015 critically acclaimed recording. It comes after research into the only existing manuscript of a transcription of the piece held by the Austrian National Library. It includes a score and parts with revised markings.
